This guardian of the threshold is Christus-Lucifer.
Christus-Lucifer is our initiator.

It is necessary for the Gnostic student to comprehend some of the biblical passages that are closely related to the initiation or better said, with those combats and battles we must fight in order to return to that paradise where we were thrown out of for having violated the law.

It is said that when Adam and eve we thrown out of Eden, God put an angel at the door with a fiery sword twirling it around so that this would impede the returning and entrance to that paradise; that angel is none other than Lucifer; this is our own dragon whom we must conquer with three psychological principles. They are:

 - Willpower

 - Obedience

 - Discipline

That angel is the one who guards the door to the mysteries; the person who tries to enter there, is going to find this terrible and intrepid angel in three forms:

First: face to face; very ugly and with a diabolical aspect. He has the figure of an animal with horns and a tail representing the different characteristics of our legion of egoes; he represents our sins; this means that this pure and divine creature masquerades himself with our own evil in order to begin helping us in this part so that we can know ourselves.

It is logical that he attacks us; this is not because the angel is bad but because he has disguised himself at that moment with our evil ways, with our own ego and that is why we are attacked.

This is called the guardian of the threshold trying to initiate us into the Christic mysteries.

The V.M. Samael says that the cowards, the weak, run away terrified to look upon this horrific aspect. If at that moment the person is filled with courage and appeals to one’s intimate Christ and to one’s Divine Mother Kundalini, nothing will happen to this person and he/she will come out victoriously.

It is very normal for any person to react violently when face to face with this fact. No one would truthfully, accept the fact of one’s own ugliness and of that infra-dimensional aspect showing this person what he/she really is.

Also, this indicates that if we, at the worst moments in our lives, turn to the Christ or to the Divine Mother Kundalini, they will save us. This is because, as we have said, all the events of our own existence have an intimate relationship with all those characters from the abyss who seek our enslavement. The person who runs away from this life drama will never be liberated. Everything must be faced with valor and will power.

The second meeting with the guardian of the threshold is in the area of our sexual life.

This character astutely seeks to make us fall in the tests having to do with our sexual life with every trick in the book. He provokes us with terrible passionate discharges, unbearable forces or bewitching that the person begins to think that he will not be able to bear any more.

The strong, the courageous, come out victoriously and conquer these moments. Then, the third bout with the guardian of the threshold is met through the mind. It would seem that the initiate will succumb. He/she does not know what to do. Everything comes into his mind; everything is reasoned out and he/she comes to the conclusion that one is being tricked. One finds oneself up against a wall and does not see how to overcome such a monster.

Many students come to the conclusion that it would be better to withdraw from these studies and they say, “before I entered into the Gnostic studies I was very happy, tranquil; I had no problems. As soon as I entered here, everything turned negative in my life. I began to have problems at home, at work and in my business.”

Conclusion: they withdraw from the Gnostic studies indicating with this that they are weak and cowardly when face to face with themselves.

The guardian of the threshold is the Christus-Lucifer, the Divine Daimon who eagerly seeks a well done work in us; one done will an iron will so that we will disintegrate the ego. Then, he will be able to take off that ugliness he wears and assume his own beautiful figure; it is here that he will give the most transcendental wisdom that he, through the millennium, has been able to extract from nature and the cosmos.

Christus-Lucifer is our initiator!
