“With the ascendancy of Kundalini to the region of the heart, the church of Thyatira is placed into activity with its twelve marvelous petals. The development of this cardiac center confers inspiration, presentment, intuition and powers to use the astral body consciously...”
Samael Aun Weor
There are 7 churches and we have already spoken about three.
The church of Thyatira is in the heart. It is ruled by the Sun, by Michael.
Let us not say that it belongs to an element, since that goes with the work we are doing; nonetheless, as an element, it belongs to ether.
Explanation: some might ask why this does not follow a sequence of the elements like water, earth, air, fire, etc.
This has its reason for being so.
The element ether acts as like the church ruled by the sun by the logos Michael.
The church of Thyatira is subjected (to explain this in some way) to the thesis and the antithesis. It is never the same as the others, since within the areas that correspond to this church, good and bad sentiments are passing through. The same could happen in the others but it is more of a characteristic for the church of Thyatira.
From this comes the saying of the Master Samael Aun Weor: “the worst thing of all is heart against heart.”
The heart has its regency but since we need to have a gravitational pull around something, it is necessary for our work.
The common man gravitates around the mind for a little while; at other times around the emotions and at others, around the instincts or around the motion, motor center and at other times around the sexual center.
We must gravitate in the heart through the element earth to give us stability that this has. It is the stabilizing element in every characteristic of the person; it is the center of gravity.
This is what permits us to gravitate within ourselves – not as a law of gravity but as an orbit within the rotation that we have around our sun – the heart.
At the same time, this church is ruled by the element ether. Why? Because of the spirit. Here is where we find the presence of the thesis and the antithesis.
The antithesis is the density of the earth. The volatility of the element ether is the thesis.
That thesis and antithesis is: “the part and the counterpart”: what does not permit the person to act and what makes the person act. Then, the person has no stability and does not maintain the heart with stability because one needs to have knowledge of one’s entire physical structure.
Question: we have seen three churches (as if we were going up) but now we have come to an intermediate point. Must we now go down from the top to then come to Thyatira?
Venerable Master: yes, that’s it.
It is necessary to have profound comprehension of what one is practicing in the teaching.
We form a gravitational pull with density in the heart. We would fall into that role of the ancient monks who spent their days only in mediation. What happened there? It was a great harvest of wise men but with little knowledge of what we have today.
They developed the heart in a great way simply through the development of the gravitational part of the density on the heart.
We have to do the contrary; we must take away the gravitational pull of the earth as density and put it in orbit around the most valued part of us which is our sun. We orbit around the sun that in this case is “the development of the aura from the element ether.”
There is where we clearly find the double center of gravity. We can see how all these things are conjugated in that marvelous center that we love so much. The heart is a filter for what comes from above – from the other churches.
Question: in the practice and as we take away the gravitational pull of the earth as density, how is that orbiting done around the heart?
Venerable Master: we take away the gravity of all the negative things so that our earth can orbit around the heart, but do not leave that place, because then you are going to collide with other churches like Pergamos, Laodicea, etc.
The gravitation has to be perfect so that in these conditions our interior sun can illuminate all of one’s organism. Nothing remains in darkness then.
In other words of the Master Samael Aun Weor, this is what he calls, “the physical face and the hidden face of our psychological moon.”
The psychological moon is the very same psyche that is in the blood; it has hidden parts and not because the blood is not moving but what happens is that it has some hidden parts where the psychological ‘I’ does not act and that’s why one believes that it does not exist.
But in the events we can see that this is not so; for example, if we receive an insult, nothing is hidden because there is a reaction in the blood. It becomes upset and everything comes out and when it comes out, we are expressing our ego. That is the moment to get out our sword.
It is a physical gravitational pull that we are going to eliminate since we are in the alert state of attention and we are around our heart.
But we are not in the heart itself, but around it. This is important because the temple is in the heart and one lives and works around the temple and not in it.
We have given the mantram “OM”. If we separate these letters, we find the ‘M’ of the church of Ephesus and of Smyrna since the two vibrate with the element water and we have the letter ‘O’ that is our Absolute.
Then the letter ‘M’ defines the man and the letter ‘O’ defines the Absolute. It is the resonance that is taking place in the internal area with the pronunciation of that mantram.
The state is of the person and the event is from life. It is the preparation that we must have in our daily lives to confront all those events. And of course, if we forget about the gravitational pull towards the heart, we will fall into deception and we will not be the observer of the event but the actor in it.
Question: in these states, how do our feelings react?
Venerable Master: we are speaking about the beginning of our work.
The sentiments or better said, those feelings, are like the mind.
If we do not have a homogeneous mind that is united, integrated, then we have ‘thoughts’ but not ‘thought’.
For example: one thinks of buying a farm but behind this thought there is another since he probably would prefer to buy a house; then, unconsciously and as a subliminal message, the thoughts that want to buy the house are coming from orders in the mind so that he thinks about the house and not the farm.
If a man is thinking about a woman, he thinks she is lovely, pretty but behind this thought, there is another which likes another woman because she has nicer legs and it says to him, “no, the other one is better.” There we have the duality of thought.
That is why the common man has “thoughts”; he rarely has “thought”.
He who has only one thought does what he wants to, because it is a solid thought; it is well-structured and it is something done.
But if there is duality, it cannot come to anything because it is a plurality. This permits the will power to be fractioned.
One must limit thought; the same goes for the sentiments.
When one has a solid sentiment about one person, he profoundly loves that person; this may be spouse, the child, the doctrine, etc., and he never changes that sentiment.
But when there are pluralities of sentiments, one could love one’s spouse and say, “she is so lovely; she is so noble”, but when she gets angry, he says, “no, I was fooled; she’s a devil.”
Question: I could not imagine that the element earth ruled the church Thyatira. Is there a creation then?
Venerable Master: of course, can you see that one is born on the earth? One must be born here in the physical part as well as to become God.
Question: where must we get to? Where does this correspond to us?
Venerable Master: we must get to the heart and God comes down to the heart. Our goal is to win our heart. This does not mean to come down from the head to the heart but from our sex to the heart.
Question: what are resentments?
Venerable Master: a recycled sentiment is converted into resentment because it has been repeated various times. Then, what happens to the repressed sentiment?
For example: if a policeman is in the street, and there is a problem and he is without his gun, the first thing he does is run to the headquarters.
The same happens to us; unfortunately, the events we encounter out in this world catch us off-base; since one has forgotten his gun in the house, one is invaded through the emotional center, in the thought center or whatever other center. But if one runs to the heart, one immediately comprehends the event one is living and that it is related to one’s life. One must care for one’s life because we are that ‘Jesus’ and we are defending the Christ that is being gestated in the heart.
Question: where do we put that resentment? That venom?
Venerable Master: not in the church but in that psychological country that is where all these elements wander around in contact with others.
In the movement of the blood where the psychic energy is moving and where we carry the ego, the ego is being nourished.
That is why, in every part of the element of fear one feels great anger at any given moment and one get pale because all the blood goes to the liver which is the seat of all our emotions. After one has burned a certain amount of red corpuscles through the discharge of anger, one gets pale.
These are physical changes of the person but they have their basis and their relationship in the psychological states of the person.
Question: this then takes us to the key “SOL” but in another all together different state.
Venerable Master: of course, the Master Samael Aun Weor calls it, “the state of alert perception.”
But we are not talking about the death of the ego because since the ego is still alive, it hides wherever it can.
What we are looking for is the way to know whether one is gravitating around the heart; this will, indisputably, take away any reasoning and any reaction from other psychological states.
Question: what is inspiration?
Venerable Master: it is a passageway to arrive at illumination and is very well defined. The inspired man or woman, indisputably is a condenser of wisdom.
Question: are the secret chambers in the heart?
Venerable Master: these are not secret chambers but the auricle and ventricle openings that are the ‘yin’ and the ‘yang’ that represent the flow and the re-flow of the blood (when one opens, the other closes), so that there is a harmonious rhythm in the blood’s circulation.
When the blood gets to the heart, it is contaminated but when it leaves, it changes color. Where does that dark color of the blood go?
The heart and the lungs work together closely; the same as the liver that represents the hell of the person. The represents the heaven of mercury. It is the heaven of mercury because there is where the most explicit activity of the Christ is processed in so far as a planet is concerned.
Then, when the blood enters with that density, we can see how the very human machine purifies itself and this has to do with the conscious cleanliness one must have.
After we become experts in this, when we learn how to breathe, to nourish ourselves, etc., then we will take away at least 50% of the heaviness from the blood and that density it has. Then the lungs will have the much more superior capacity of be able to aid in the flow of the blood around the body together with the work of the heart; this will be a much lighter exercise.
One purifies the impurities of the hydrogens; the other purifies the oxygen so that there is a mixture with the blood and better circulation of it.
With this it means that if a person proposes that type of gravitation of which we are speaking, he eliminates a quantity of demonic elements, because this purification permits us to continue gravitating in the most subtle part or the most divine part that one has; these are the sentiments.
What happens to the beggar who walks around the street with bag filled with things? What he did was place his consciousness there (if you can call it that)... placing importance on those old shoes and things he is carrying.
One says, “that fool, carrying that load of old things!” But we do the same thing in that old back room of memories. There we have many old things stored. One says, “I am not going to throw them out because they are still useful.”
When will you ever use them again?
Do you not keep things you will never use again? There is consciousness placed in that.
Question: how can we establish ourselves with that gravitation in the heart with the element earth?
Venerable Master: with that self-observation, with prayer, with meditation and with contemplation. These are elements in charge of maintaining us united with our sentiments; this is what the Master Samael Aun Weor says in others terms: “the reason for being is the very same being.”
If we are involved with the reason of the being, undoubtedly, we have the reason for everything that happens to us because it is the reason of the being and the reason for being cannot be opposite to the reason of the being.
Because the reason for being is the very same being.
Question: where does intuition enter into this work?
Venerable Master: this is a gift or a power that is born with the development of the chakra of the heart or with the church in itself.
From the moment we wish to impose our criteria on life, we are taking away the reason of the being and if we take away the reason of the being, we are left with not being because we are not united to the being; this is because of a reason that belongs to the being and it is not our reasoning.
That is disobedience, rebelliousness, unconscious or not. One rebels against the reason it has because the reason it has, is the very same being.
To be united to the being, indisputably one must accept the reason of the being.
The reason for the being is that we must collaborate with all those things that happen in our daily lives since they are inevitable events; if this is not done, we are opposing that great law that emanates from the law.
Change the Way you Feel
The gravitation in the heart is not a question of weight but of consciousness, of sentiments: “I must feel myself there!”
The person who is placed in the heart may not be when he goes out into the street and someone says something to him; someone else calls him, someone else talks about the house situation, the prices, the weather, etc.; then, this person stops gravitating in the heart and runs the risk of falling into whatever ‘I’ (ego) with the impressions he has received by the confusion and the congestion of the multiple events.
For example: we see the dynamo of a motor; there is macho spinning around at the part where it is incrusted; it spins around it but it does not touch it because if it does touch it, it burns up but the spinning generates energy.
The ether and the earth cause short circuits. One spins around the heart as a person, as a sentiment, as consciousness, but one cannot be within the heart at all times since it is where God is born.
We are the “city of nine doors” but that does not indicate that an ego – an ‘I’ – is going to enter through the eyes; it could be that the eyes, vision, participates in the formation of an ‘I’ but this always enters in the form of a sentiment. This is to say, through the heart.
One cannot say that the ego of lust enters through the sexual organs because the seat, the motive or the reason for this lust is in the sentiments.
Question: if we closed wombs through the gravitation around the heart, will the ‘I’ continue to form? Is that why first we must change the way we feel?
Venerable Master: the Master Samael Aun Weor says, “one must change the way one thinks”; the Master Lakhsmi says, “one must change the way one feels”. I am not giving new teachings but the Master Samael has a very wide concept.
If we change the way we feel, indisputably we are avoiding the proliferation of more elements in this poor organism.
The ego enters through the heart. The being enters through the heart; the ego dies through the heart and the being is elevated through the heart. There is no other door.
The ‘I’ does not enter through the pineal gland (an entity could enter there but not a ‘I’)
The Christ threw the merchants out of the temple; he closed the door so that they could not come back and that temple is the heart.
Purify your heart and indisputably, the mind will be blocked.
If you leave your heart, a devil will enter there to replace you. This might have been gotten through an impression that entered as a sentiment.
For example: if you see a person killing another, you say, “may God help me so that I will never do such a thing.” Then, the next day you want to kill the one you saw killing another or maybe you wish a car to run over him so that “he pays what he owes”. There is where the “I” killer – assassin has come in.
These events within us are converted into emotions and the emotion is changed into a thought and the thought is changed into a “I”.
Whoever has seen that a “I” is born in the mind? What the mind does is react and bring the sexual energy; then, it is projected through the imagination and is formed – the ‘I’ of lust, of crime or of robbery. Where did it enter? Through a sentiment, because of a false egoic sentiment through the heart.
The plurality of sentiments is equal to the plurality of ‘I’s.
The ‘I’ is formed inside but it inhabits where it should not be; it entered through the door of the temple; this is to say, through the heart.
Let’s go back to the practice with the mantram ‘OM’. I can give testimony that this practice with the mantram ‘OM’ that I learned as soon as I entered these gnostic studies. I began to gravitate in my heart.
I worked in the countryside cutting down trees but each respiration was the mantram ‘OM’ and when I awakened the chakra of the heart, it was tremendous. That happened to me about 5 pm. In the town of Algeciras in Colombia; when I felt that impression, it was an extraordinary impact. I ran through the street to see if I could find a person to tell him, “Look, can you see it?” But at the same time, I said to myself, “What could anyone say if there is nothing to see?” I was simply feeling it.
From that time on I began to feel some mental spaces; they were frightening (lagoons). I was very worried since I thought it was an illness of some kind. Afterwards, I realized that I could see the legion (of ‘I’s) alive but they no longer entered into my heart.
It isn’t that one remembers one’s heart when one is involved in problems but one should be gravitating in it from moment to moment.
The Master Samael Aun Weor says that Gandhi lasted 40 days fasting and we know that a person can last 2 or 3 minutes without breathing but one cannot last ½ minute without an impression. Then if one does not do this, it indicates that from moment to moment one is exposed to the recycling of demons that enter and leave because the door is opened.
Brothers and sisters, we are not demanding that you act like the Adeptus do, but one must begin to gravitate around the heart, because that is giving us 3 extraordinary conditions for the life of an esoterist:
1. It is teaching the person to maintain himself in alert perception.
2. It is recycling energy. That is why a single person can die in 50% or more of the legion due to the fact that the energy that he is processing through the concentration around the heart makes the blood heat up and boil. If one is well-concentrated, you can feel the heart palpitations in the feet – in the toes and in the hands, etc. This is because the body is charged with energy that it is generating and it does not allow it to escape.
3. This gravitation around the heart is changing life into that happiness, into a feast, because one is concentrating on the heart and here is where one finds the reason for being.
In the beginning one feels a heaviness and on occasion a little pain that one believes one has an illness in the heart; this is the learning part of this.
When one is awakening certain powers like clairvoyance, one feels that the head is about to explode and this is due to the fact that one is concentrating and is living there.
We need to maintain that center in activity and where one concentrates, there you will find the greatest torrent of blood. When one concentrates on the center of the forehead, this is equivalent to vocalizing the ‘I’ at every moment; the same thing happens in the heart.
This is the most practical way we have of developing the senses.
When an initiate proposes working in a very serious way with the gravitation on the heart, he stops thinking.
He who overcometh and keepeth my works untothe end, to him will I give power over the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron, as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father.
And I will give him the morning star. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the spirit saith unto the churches.
Apocalypse
